RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Suppliers and customers increasingly are identifying the level of adoption of industry e-commerce standards by participating in the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association Information Services Council (MIS Council) Customer E-commerce Matrix. The MIS Council Customer E-commerce Matrix is an online tool that enables members to identify the e-commerce standards and technologies required by all major aftermarket customers (resellers or data receivers). It includes product information (PIES), catalog (AAIA legacy and ACES), Web Services (IPO), EDI and delivery method information. Manufacturers can obtain the requirements of their top customers or prospects and can view versions, fields, documents and sunset dates. Several suppliers and data receivers recently subscribed to the Matrix, adding to the application’s content and enhancing its value. - Reports the aggregate use of individual standards, versions, fields and documents.
